Onboard a website
Create or select the correct project, add the website, and prepare it for monitoring.

Onboarding establishes the project that will contain one website’s observations, policies, findings, and evidence. SiteWall guides you through configuration, plan selection, ownership verification, provisioning, and an initial system analysis.
What the onboarding flow does
Use the following table to understand how each area supports the task.

Create the SiteWall project
- 1.
Open Projects
From the organization context, open Projects and select Create Project. Choose the SiteWall product flow when prompted.

Enter the website URL
On Configuration, enter the exact website you are authorized to monitor. Check the hostname carefully; the project and verification challenge are tied to this website context.
- 3.
Choose the plan
On Plan Selection, select the tier approved for this project. If you are evaluating SiteWall, record the selected tier with the project owner so the intended entitlement is clear.
- 4.
Continue to verification
Review the project details before proceeding. If SiteWall reports that the domain is already registered or that setup is in progress, return to the existing project rather than creating a duplicate.
Verify domain ownership

Choose a verification method
Use the method your website or DNS owner can maintain: a DNS TXT record, an HTML verification file, or an HTML meta tag.

Publish the generated challenge
For DNS, add the exact
cellwall-verification=<TOKEN>value shown by SiteWall. For file verification, publishcellwall-verification.htmlat the root or supported.well-knownpath with the generated token. For meta verification, add<meta name="cellwall-verification" content="<TOKEN>" />to the page head. - 3.
Run verification in SiteWall
After the challenge is publicly reachable, return to Verification and select the verification action. DNS changes may require time to propagate; do not alter the generated token.

Remove temporary verification material only when approved
Follow your organization’s ownership-proof policy. Do not remove a challenge that SiteWall or your operating procedure expects to remain available.
Complete activation
- 1.
Allow provisioning to finish
After successful verification, SiteWall provisions the project resources. Keep the flow open and do not create a second project while activation is underway.
- 2.
Allow the initial analysis to finish
SiteWall performs its initial system analysis after provisioning. The duration depends on the project and environment; rely on the displayed state rather than an assumed completion time.
- 3.
Confirm System Operational
The success state confirms that the project is verified and activated. SiteWall also starts its initial audit for the project.
- 4.
Reopen the project from the selector
Use the project selector to confirm that the new website appears and remains selected before you copy installation code or interpret data.
