Verify the installation
Use deployment status, source inspection, and browser testing to confirm that CookieWall is active on the intended website.
Last reviewed September 12, 2026
A verified CookieWall installation requires more than finding the snippet. Confirm that the platform reports recent activity, the correct project configuration is published, and a first-time visitor can make and revise consent choices. Complete the browser tests below before treating the deployment as ready.
Verify the deployed state
- 1.
Open Installation
Select the correct project, then open Installation and refresh Deployment Status.
- 2.
Interpret the status
Active means the snippet was found in HTML or traffic was observed in the last six hours. No recent traffic means evidence exists within the broader lookback but not recently. Not Detected means neither the HTML check nor recent telemetry found it.
- 3.
Confirm the CDN configuration
Review whether the page shows a publication time or the default configuration, and confirm the displayed enforcement state.
- 4.
Test as a new visitor
Open a private window, inspect the page before choosing, then test Reject All, Accept All, and a custom category selection.
